Notes

  1. In cases where someone is the agent for the vendor a valid Power of Attorney (P.O.A) is needed.
  2. The purchaser can obtain a court order to have the asset transferred.
  3. A motor vehicle and property compliance is needed when it is disposed of e.g. Selling or as a gift.
  4. When it is considered as a gift the owner of the asset must provide an affidavit of donor and an affidavit of donee.
  5. Where death occurs – A person either dies testate or intestate
  • Testate – where there is a will. (assets goes to beneficiaries on the will)
  • Intestate – where a will was not left. (Assets are shared 1/3 spouse and 2/3 to all the children equally.
  • In addition to the above a Probate/ the letter of administration, affidavit of the vesting of title, valuation as of date of death (D.O.D) are needed.
All taxes payable to GRA for the vendor must be up to date.
